What's old is new with the Dodge Charger 2005 release

The 2005 Dodge Charger release has many automotive enthusiasts chomping at the bit, as the re-release of this classic model by the Daimler-Chrysler corporation is ure to be quite an event.

The Charger established its place in history as the General Lee in the television program The Dukes of Hazzard, boosting its popularity and sales significantly.

The Dodge Charger 2005 model will actually represent the second re-release of the name. The car debuted in 1966 and was on the market for over 10 years, ending its run in 1977.

However, in the 1980's Dodge put the name on a front-wheel drive coupe, but this release was unsuccessful. Dodge shelved the name until now, and Daimler Chrysler released plans several months back to issue a 2005 Dodge Charger offering as well as other new models from its other brands.

The early news is that the 2005 Charger will be built in Canada, and will debut in January 2005 at Detroit's motor show, and released in the spring, probably as a 2006 model.

There isn't much further news on the Dodge Charger 2005 offering at this time, but we will provide more information as we receive it.

In any event, the 2005 Dodge Charger is sure to be newsworthy, and we're anxious to see just how the excitement builds as we get closer to its 2005 debut.
